Caribbean teams hunt more victories in SCCL home games

Following the two victories of Caribbean teams DirectTV WConnection and Central FC last week in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League (SCCL) campaign, the Caribbean affiliates are hunting wins in upcoming games set for Tuesday September 22 and Wednesday September 23.

Scoring for DirectTV WConnection were Kurt Frederick and Alvin Jones while Ataulla Guerra scored the winning goal for debutants Central FC.

Seeking its first victory is the third Caribbean team Montego Bay United out of Jamaica who are also debutants at this level. The team faces seasoned contenders DC United in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Montego Bay Sports Complex, in St James, Jamaica at 7:00pm on Tuesday.

Last week, Trinidad and Tobago Club teams DirectTV WConnection and Central FC defeated visiting Costa Rican team Saprissa 2-1 and Comunicaciones 1-0 respective at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago.

DirectTV WConnection takes on Santos Laguna at this same venue in Trinidad and Tobago at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 22, while Central FC face off with LA Galaxy on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:00pm same place.

This game between Central FC and LA Galaxy promises to be an interesting game as LA Galaxy needs only a draw to seal progression to the quarterfinals.
