Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica and St Vincent and the Grenadines are packing their kits in preparation for the Final Round of the 2015 Caribbean Zone of the Men’s Olympic Qualifiers set to be staged in Haiti, at the Stade Sylvio Cator, August 14-16.
In the opening game on Friday, August 14, Cuba meets Jamaica at 4:00pm while at 6:30pm Haiti encounters St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The teams will rest on Saturday, August 15 before the grand final on Sunday, August 16.
The winner and first runner-up will advance to compete in the Confederation of North Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Men’s Olympic Tournament set to be hosted by the United States in 2016.
These teams earned qualifications for the Final Round after topping Groups 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively in the preliminary stages which ran from June 24 -29 in four separate countries.
Haiti and Cuba topped their group with maximum nine points from three games, Jamaica did same with maximum six points from two games while St Vincent and the Grenadines garnered four points from two games.
This zonal qualifying tournament has an age limit of Under 23 for men born on or after January 1, 1993.
