Cuba and Haiti will now meet Haiti at 6:30pm for top honors while Jamaica challenges St Vincent and the Grenadines at 4:00pm for third place at this same venue. Both finalists are now qualified to represent the Caribbean Zone in the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Tournament set for October of this year.

It was Cuba that went ahead as early as in the 7th minute with a goal from Arichel Hernandez Mora ending the half time 1-0. In the second half the Jamaicans drew level courtesy of an own goal from Cuba’s Yosel Piedra Guillen in the 50th minute.

Both teams tried desperately to score the clincher but it was Cuba’s Maykel Reyes Azpuy who scored the decisive goal in the 86th minute ending the game 2-1.

Hosts Haiti did not have an easy win over St Vincent and the Grenadines having played the first half without penetrating their goal, however, in the 64th minute Jhon Miky Benchy scored the vital goal to propel his team into the finals.
