Jamaica, the Caribbean Football Union’s last standard-bearer in the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Tournament, suffered a fatal blow in the ambition to reach the Final for the first time, with a 0-5 semi-final defeat to former Champions Canada.

In the second match of Thursday’s doubleheader at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay, the host team was undone by goals from Marie Metivier (4th minute), Emily Borgmann (27th minute), the Captain, Jessie Fleming (30th minute), Sarah Kinzner (48th minute) and Marie Leveseur (70th minute).

The result leaves Jamaica with the opportunity to take third place, when the team will face the other defeated semi-finalist, United States in the play-off on Saturday November 9.
