Haiti and St.Lucia Grab Opening Wins in CFU's Under 17 Finals

Port Au Prince, Haiti - The Caribbean Football Union's Under 17 Finals opened today, as host nation Haiti and St. Lucia began the tournament in goal scoring style.

We start off with the 5pm kick off which saw St .Lucia take down Caribbean giants Trinidad & Tobago with a score line of 2 - 0.

St. Lucia opened the competition with its first goal in the 25th minute with Noah Nicholas.Trinidad failed to score in the first half as St. Lucia would go into the second half with confidence.

Nicholas would score his second of the night in the 53rd minute, as his two goals would give St. Lucia an early 3 points in the group.

The feature match of the night saw host nation Haiti defeat Barbados 2 - 0 at the Silvia Cator Stadium. It was Denilson Pierre with an early strike, as he scored pass Basian Keeper Kishmar Primus in the 5 minute of play. Haiti then doubled the score in the 34th minute as Denso Ulysse scored his country's second goal and the winner.

The young Barbados team had no answer for the host on the night as the match ended Haiti 2 Barbados 0. Tomorrow Group B action has Cuba taking on Guadeloupe at 5pm then Jamaica faces Martinique at 7:30PM local time.
