KINGTON, Jamaica (April 8, 2021)—A history-making female assistant referee, Jassett Kerr-Wilson, is among a quintet of Jamaican referees selected to officiate at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup starting on July 10, 2021.
Kerr-Wilson will be one of two female assistant referees to stand in the competition for the first time. The second woman, Kathryn Nesbitt, is from the US.
The male officials are referees Daneon Parchment and Oshane Nation and assistants Nicholas Anderson and OJay Duhaney. Parchment and Nation completed the Video Assistant Referees (VAR) training in Costa Rica last weekend.
A release from the Jamaica Football Federation said the five “will now be involved in a hectic preparatory program both locally and internationally.”
